I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, and it works great. I was looking for a coffee machine to use when I have guests, so that I could make a larger pot. I currently have a Keurig that only makes 1 cup at a time. This Hamilton Beach coffee maker is exactly what I was needing. It has a digital clock and you can connect it to Alexa, which was a quick setup. I'm very very happy with this!
This coffee maker really gets the job done. It has a flexible design which makes it easy to shift between using prepared coffee pods or using ground coffee in a filter to make your drinks. There are two unique and interchangeable brew baskets included- both are fully removable for easy cleaning! The one I use the most is the pod basket, a perfect match for Kuerig K-cups. The other basket is equipped with a standard reusable filter for regular coffee grounds. The flexibility is great - we have several local coffee roasters and they don't make pods - its nice to be able to make single cups with their blends. The unit has a lot of nice details: the buttons to change cup size and brew strength are easy to read and to use. There is a compartment under the cup holder where you can stow a brew basket when it is not in use. When brewing, the baskets are placed in a cone which is also easy to remove and clean - its all very modular and elegant in design. And as for the coffee: every cup is clean and fresh, and having the option of bold or regular brew is a nice touch. The cup sizes are precise oz. measurements making it easy to select the right match for my cups. Overall this is a terrific coffee maker. My only very minor criticism is that it takes a bit longer than other single cup brewers to make a cup - about three minutes total on the bold setting! But the quality of my drinks is superior to previous single cup coffee makers, and as I've mentioned, I really love the flexibility of the interchangeable brew baskets, and the ability to easily remove and clean all the pieces, and it takes up only a small spot on my countertop too! Hamilton-Beach has made a great little machine!
I needed one of these in an emergency and it exceeded my expectations! The color is so cute and this porcelain quality feels long lasting. Highly recommend!
Get the moccamaster without the stupid insulated glass carafe. Mine was leaking between the stainless steel and the glass liner under normal usage, so every time you poured out of the spigot the bottom would drip all over your pants. Went to try and fix it and I broke the glass liner which wasn't covered under warranty. I had to buy a new carafe with my own money and the replacement one they shipped with 0 padding and it arrived with the glass liner busted too. Avoid this stupid fragile carafe and get the glass one with the resistance heater. I had to buy the insulated one to comply with workplace safety policies.
What i like about this coffee maker is the size and color. It makes a wonderful hot coffee, i dont know why some reviews say its not hot. Its perfect. As someone retired i dont need a coffee maker that has coffee ready when i wake up so if you are retired and have no where to rush off to, its ideal. Honestly i dont have any dislike for this coffee maker. Perfect for me!
I was shopping around for a coffee maker for quite a while. I wanted something I could truly enjoy to start my day with every morning and I believe this was the perfect Coffee Maker for me. It is super simple and easy to use, creates delicious coffee and hot water for my tea every evening! I’ve had this for only a couple days now and will make sure to update in a couple months!
Got this for my daughter for her birthday, she loves it. Got a great price on it too, 100$ off.
This is a great little 5 cup coffee pot! The size is perfect and it makes coffee really fast. I like the metal mesh basket and I love that you can set the time and preprogram the pot to make coffee at any point in the day for you. It's so nice waking up and having your coffee ready to go. The taste was great, it doesn't drip and the pot and basket are easy to clean. I gave it 4 stars because I think the price point is a little high for the quality of this maker. It does a great job, but I think the price is more appropriate for a 12 cup maker. That being said, if you only need a small coffee pot, this would be perfect!
The only positive about this coffee maker is the looks. This thing is awful. I’ve had it 3 months and the stainless is stained and rusting, the basket holder sags and has needed help closing since I unboxed it. As of this morning both the basket thingy and carafe are leaking. I thought the weak and tasteless brew was a me issue. I now think it’s a coffee maker issue
UPDATE: The screen is now absolutely illegible, now making changing the time, setting the delay brew, or reading time, impossible. What a piece of junk. I've had this coffee pot for 3 years. I know that's a while to wait to leave a review but I also never thought I'd be leaving a review for a coffee pot so here we go. It's a nice coffee pot. It looks good on my counter. Has all the features that I enjoy. A reusable basket. A detachable water basin. A program timer. And a crisp LCD display. A glass carafe. And it brews a cup of coffee. Oh and also I can chuck some of the parts in my dishwasher to clean them, top rack of course. However, as we're approaching the three-year mark a few months ago, the LCD is starting to burn out (see picture). Which makes it hard to read if you quickly glance at it in the morning or if you want to say change the time on your delay brew. Maybe I'm being out of line expecting a coffee pot to last more than 3 years. But for the price that you pay for this thing I would expect it to last more than 3 years. Because otherwise it's just wasteful, but here we are. Maybe I just had bad luck. Other than that, it's a coffee pot!
It works fine but almost all of the printed measurements have washed away. I wish it had a lid or cover.
The filter works decently, but the water runs through too quickly meaning that it doesn’t pick up enough flavor from the coffee grounds, in my opinion. It seems like with a paper filter the water filters more slowly soaking up more flavor from the coffee grounds as it drips through.
Used machine with expired coffee pods received unacceptable horrible nespreso store not even 3rd party seller shameful
I love this potable espresso maker. This is great accessory for travel or camping. Easy to setup, use, and clean. it comes with 2 containers for your ground coffee and 1 container to use pods. It does take a bit to warm up if you are using cold water but it still makes a great shot.
I received this product today. The whole thing is dirty. It’s covered in mold. The coffee pot itself is broken and still has old coffee in it. This product was not clean. It should have never been sold in this condition
