I’ve had this machine close to 20 days, using it daily. This makes great espesso and lattes. It’s super easy to use and takes about 15 seconds to grind and 30 seconds for a shot. Main pros: great coffee, easy to use, straightforward. The touch screen is super intuitive and walks you through the steps for each drink. The tamper and portafilter feel solid, heavy, and are made of high quality stainless steel. It feels like quality when using. The tray below is super easy to clean. Cons: At first the grinder made a small clicking sound and got stuck. But then I realized it was because my coffee beans were too old and dry. After getting better beans the issue went away. For a true coffee snob, you might want to invest in a very high end grinder ($500 or more). In that case you’ll end up with two grinders one built in and one external. However, for the vast majority of people the built in grinder is good enough. Keep in mind having the grinder and espresso machine as one unit means there’s a little more risk of something breaking down the line, but it’s convenient and looks nice having everything in just one unit. A few tips: 1. make sure to pack enough grinds in the portafilter to get a good shot. 2. A bunch of reviews complain about the steam auto clean making a big mess. This is super easy to resolve. Just put the wand in the stainless steel cup before lowering it for cleaning. Then it sprays into the cup not all over the place. Seems like a no brainer. Because of the force or the cleaning, there’s no way it could be clean without containing the wand in a cup.
This is my review for the NEWSETS Single Serve Coffee Maker for K Cups and Ground Coffee, 4 in 1 Coffee Machine with Grinder and Milk Frother, 6 to 14oz Brew Sizes, 28oz Removable Water Reservoir, Self-cleaning Function, Black. When I saw the opportunity to review this product I knew I couldn’t pass this up. I have very limited counter space and what sold me was the 4 in 1 features. I was able to eliminate my coffee grinder, milk frother and Keurig machine. My counter top looks so much better and a lot less cluttered. I love the versatility of this product! I can still use my K cups or freshly ground coffee. I also have 4 different options when it comes to frothing or simply just heating up my milk. The flavor of the coffee that I made was by far the best coffee I’ve ever had and I didn’t have to go out and get it. I simply made it from the comfort of my home. I read a review where the coffee was watery and weak. This wasn’t my case as I’ve enclosed a picture. I simply filled the bean grinder to the fill line, ground my beans and filled the coffee filter almost full. I also used Star Bucks French Roast and Caffé Verona beans for my coffee. The temperature of my coffee was perfect and I thought the speed was pretty good. Just have to wait that 3 seconds or less for the milk frother to start and I love that I can brew my coffee and use the frother simultaneously. The only issue that I did notice was during storms where my power went out I had to unplug the coffee maker as the bean grinder/frother didn’t work. At first I was like don’t tell me this broke already but thankfully I just had to unplug it and plug it back in and it was working perfectly. I will keep an eye on it and update if this becomes more of an issue. I found this product to be easy to use and the quality I thought was very good!! I am very happy and pleased with this product and I highly recommend it!! Thanks NEWSETS!! I’m not an everyday coffee drinker but because it’s so good and fun to use I’ve had more coffee this week than probably in an entire year. I hope this review helps 🙏
Product arrived damaged, very disappointed
I have often wondered why there are so many different coffee pods nowadays, I mean why can't they just agree on a standard size to make it easier for the consumers, I suppose it's because of licensing and all those patents. This brings me back to getting this coffee machine that can operate on most of the common pods in North America. Such a great idea and design and the convenience of not having 4 or 5 different machines, one for each pod size. This machine comes with different pod holders, and even one for my ground coffee too. So far I have tried out the K-cup and ground coffee bowls or pod holders and both worked really well, easy to clean up after is also a plus for me. These bowls or pod holders are quite thick and seem durable and sturdy, I am sure they will last for a while or the lifetime of this machine. I am more curious to see how well the Milk frother works but I don't have any milk powder capsules on hand to try but will try to get some soon, similar to the other different pods. As far as operating, it's quite easy with just a few steps using the control panel up top. The water or cup size slider is easy to slide to the water or cup size, just make sure your hands are dry first. The Pre-Soak button or feature works better with my ground coffee than the K-cups, but it's not that big a difference in my opinion. At the end of the day, it all depends on the quality of the coffee mostly. But this little machine is a great way for me to try out different types and brands without breaking the bank :). I have been using this a few times a day now since I got it and will be my go-to coffee machine for now. Easy to use, operate, and mostly quick to clean.
My Old Brew and Go finally gave up the Ghost after 10+ years, this one is more compact, is a bit harder to add water, but the coffee tastes the same. I use a 16 ounce Styrofoam cup in place of the Plastic Mug. To use the filter just remove the reuseable filter basket and push in the cone filter with the pleat toward the back as shown in the picture, you will have some paper exposed above the top which helps to hold it in place. Wish that B&D would re- design this Coffee Maker to use the # 2 Cone filters! Or at least add a Basket that holds them.
After extensive research I gave this one a try over the Mochamaster (America Test Kitchen's favorite pick. This one has programmability. Coffee tastes good and has lots of functionality. However, this was totally not expected. The carafe lid decides to no longer accept coffee mid-stream halfway through the brew cucle and runs down the side 5 days into use. Same issue again on repeat tries. I eventually pulled it mid cycle and realized even jiggling and shaking the spring loaded top that coffee does not go down. Few messy days later and it was working again. It worked perfectly from day one, so this appears to be an engineering design issue. Maybe it has air lock issues, but without cutting it in half and understanding the design...no clue why and can't trust it by programming the night before. I'm now disheartened and thinking about just returning it, as a new lid may simply have the same problem after the return period ends. Defective on day 5. Hmm.
Arrived in excellent condition, all parts included, works well (nothing leaking nothing broken). It seemed brand new apart from not coming in the original box. Coffee is delicious at a variety of volumes, grounds are soaked evenly. Taste is just as good as pour over.
I love the look of this coffee machine, I also got the matching tea kettle. I was so excited, but we brew 8 or 9 cups every morning and unless you are only brewing 4 cups… It overflows with grounds in the coffee every day. The only thing I have found to alleviate the situation is to pause it when I start to see the water and the grounds getting to the top let it drain into the coffee pot, then turn it on again. I have to do that for a total of four times per morning just to get it so it doesn’t leak. I tried the basket filter it came with and tried disposable filters. I’ve reached out to the seller. This is so annoying for a 12 cup pot that you want to set and walk away from. Seeing if I can get a refund.
Being new to coffee making, I wasn’t sure which coffee maker to pick, but I’m so glad I chose the Elite Gourmet Coffee Maker! It’s incredibly easy to use—just add water, coffee, and press a button for a perfect brew every time. The compact design fits perfectly in my kitchen, and cleanup is a breeze, which is a huge plus for me. I love how quickly it brews, and the coffee tastes amazing! For anyone looking for a simple, reliable, and hassle-free coffee maker, this one is a winner. Highly recommended!
I am updating my review. I really like the size and design of the pitcher so I removed the ground holder and used a traditional cold brew bag. Got a much better extraction that rivaled my Toddy. I really like that this pitcher has plastic to protect the glass. It’s a good size, easy to clean, tight lid, and I was able to glue the bumper back on the bottom. If you get this I would just recommend using traditional cold brew bags. You get better extraction. Still took one star due to original thoughts. I just finished brewing my 3rd pitcher and consistently am not getting a good extraction. First pitcher I brewed for 24 hours- super weak. 2nd - 48 hour - still weak. 3rd pitcher 72 hours - bitter but still weak. The pitcher is cheaply constructed as well as one of the clips broke off with the first use and the rubber ring on the bottom came off during the 3rd use. I have only washed it by hand. You get what you pay for I guess. Going back to my Asobu.
I received this coffee maker this morning. Four hours later, this coffee pot is in pieces. It is poorly made, the glass is very thin. I am beyond frustrated.
This brewer is awesome! No more wasting my money at coffee shops for poor tasting and poor quality coffee! Make sure you grind your own coffee beans on coarse mode otherwise if the coffee grounds are too powdery then the coffee grounds will seep through the filter and taint the brew. I like using organic coffee grounds for the best tasting cold brew! Allow to brew at least 12 hours. I’ve had no leakage and the design is great. It fits perfectly in my fridge and doesn’t take up a lot of room. It’s pretty easy to clean with the brush that came with it. Just soak it first so that the grounds will come out easily. Very happy with this purchase. So easy to use and make cold brew. Wish I would’ve bought it sooner!
Accidentally tipped it over on the counter and it smashed. It flipped to its side and that's all it took.
Every time I brew coffee the paper cloggs the hole . My 20 year old one never did. D Tried to insert filter as well as I can but no way. It clogs every time. Throwing this thing in the dumpster n looking for something else. If there's anything that's built like my old one I'll be lucky. Nothing is built to be made with care. Bad design coffee canaster is square on one side n round on the other side. Coffee filters are round . One side is higher than the other. Filter snags on short side. Top is not sealed so steam causes water to drip down the sides. Rubber gasket in stopper doesn't sit tight coffee drips if u pull out coffee canaster. Just bad design crap
It’s great, the heating is perfect, love the color and the best part is it stays warm for a long time.
