Recently bought this coffee maker, I’m European, and I’m obsessed with coffee. I purchased another coffee maker months ago. But it only does 5 cups, and I like to drink more in the morning. So I decided to purchase another coffee maker, that has more cups of coffee. Saw this one and was like perfect! For some reason I go to brew coffee, it stops brewing, and then I have to lift the lit up, close it again all the way, and then it starts brewing again. I have to do this every time I make coffee. And it’s very annoying! I’ve never had a coffee maker stop halfway, then you got a lift the lid, close it again, and then it brews. So now I’ve reached out to the seller or the manufacturer and I’m hoping they can give me a replacement?! I shouldn’t have to lift the lid and then close it again in order to get the rest of my coffee. A coffee maker should brew all the way And it doesn’t matter how many cups you want.

  • This is my first single cup coffee maker and I am very happy with it. I've been using it about a week. You can use it both with K-Cups or ground coffee. It's simple to use with just one on/off switch. It warms and brews a cup very quickly. It is easy to clean. Mostly I like that it's a very small footprint on my counter.

  • I loved this little coffee maker. It was perfect. When I tried to buy a replacement carafe due to a crack in the glass, I called Holstein's. A very nice customer service person took my information and I was told I would be sent a whole new replacement as they don't replace just the carafe. A couple of weeks went by with no carafe delivery so I called the company back. Then I was told they don't sell to the public. I would have to send the original upc code, and I don't have that anymore. Needless to say, I am buying a whole new coffee maker when all I wanted to do was buy the carafe. The company must have some problems, as I was told two different policies from two different people. Good product, but maybe not so much the company that stands behind it. Upon buying a second Holstein coffee pot, this time thru the company itself, they shipped it in the box, no other box around it, and it was punctured. There was not any stabilizing material to secure it in the box to ensure its safe delivery. So disappointed in this company.

From the pictures and description it seemed like a good buy however, when it arrived there was few things wrong with it right away 1. I noticed that there was grease marks in side where the coffee and water would be tried to clean it with soap and water with little luck there was still some residue left over 2. In addition at the bottom there was almost some sort of dent like markings which may lead to leaks in the future did not try to brew coffee due to grease not coming out 3. The plunger was not long enough as it was off a different "mini" french press, and the filters cannot be removed as stated in instructions the top screwed off instead of the bottom Sending item back right away, will invest in better quality you do get what you pay for this is absolute waste of time pure garbage!

This is a nice coffee maker. Don't get me wrong. Moccamaster makes good coffee and produces said coffee quite quickly once loaded up so make no mistake about that. However, I will be returning my Moccamaster and reverting back to pour over methods. Here's why: 1) Cheap plastic parts and design shortcomings. As others have mentioned, many of the Technivorm pieces are flimsy plastic afterthoughts that don't give using this machine a high-end feel. The funnel cover and hot water dripper can be easily knocked out of place and the pot itself scrapes the heating plate when put beneath the dripper. It gets annoying needing to be so careful to collect the parts properly and not break or displace anything. 2) Water basin is not removable. As far as cleaning goes, it's not straightforward as the water basin is screwed in. I understand the thinking here - it's only purified water that goes in there so why clean it? Would be better if this was removable. 3) Inefficiency. Probably the biggest issue for us. With the Moccamaster versus a pourover, I found we needed 7-8 double tablespoon scoops (~16 tablespoons) for 2-3 cups of coffee vs 12 tablespoons using a Chemex pour over for the same number of cups. I was using way more coffee with the moccamaster compared with pourover methods as the drip method is simply not as efficient. This issue is not unique to the moccamaster but there are likely smarter machines at saturating the grounds. 4) The two-setting hot plate functionality is problematic because it's always on when the coffee maker is on meaning the coffee is constantly heating up in the pot while the funnel is still dripping. When making a bigger pot (8+ cups), the coffee ends up tasting overheated. 5) No timer. A $300 coffee makers should have a timer or at least more features than simply dripping hot water over coffee beans.

  • I spend so much money at coffee shops. I wanted to get something relatively cost effective that would satisfy the craving. Espresso machines can get really expensive so I found this to be a great alternative! The coffee pulls nicely and comes out so foamy. I opted for the option including the milk steamer and it froths the milk so well, and all I have to do is pour the milk in and push a button. Couldn’t be easier. I’m going to save so much money on coffee and lattes this year!

Dec 2023 update. I have this same model at work for the coffee kcup drinkers. I accidentally ordered a box of green tea kcups instead of pods. One day, I wasn't feeling well and broke out a tea kcup to throw in the machine. I didn't rinse off the pieces first. To my happiness, my tea didn't taste at all like coffee. Didn't have grounds in it either. So, there's that! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is my 2nd ninja coffee maker. As long as they keep innovating their products, I will be a dedicated fan. I had my first Ninja for 3 years before it started to leak. I had taken for granted how easy the Ninja made my morning routine, so I bought a different brand as a replacement that looked "fine". It was fine, but was more involved than I wanted it to be. And I missed my Ninja. Also, when I found out that Ninja has a separate line for hot/boiling water, I became obsessed with getting my hands on it. PROS: Convenient water reservoir - 60 oz - that can be moved to the back from the side, if that suits your set up. Easy reservoir to remove, fill, and return to the base. Or, fill with a pitcher. Delay start - I mean, who doesn't like to have their coffee waiting for them. SEPARATE HOT/BOILING WATER DISPENSER for tea, hot chocolate, instant oatmeal, instant soups, etc. This is an amazing option to have available!! No tea drinker likes using the coffee maker for their tea. This is a total game changer. Coffee pod adapter - if you like to use pods, you have that option. And it is easy to use and easy to clean. [I bought this same machine for my office lunchroom. It meets everybody's needs. The tea drinker gets his tea, everybody gets to choose their favorite coffee pod, and everyone gets to choose the strength of coffee they want. We stored the carafe, as we aren't likely to use it much there.] Cone shaped permanent filter, with option to add a paper filter (size 2 fits perfectly; size 4 fits, but needs to be squished down) if you prefer. Loose grounds really make the best coffee. Wide range of coffee sizes to choose from (unless you use pods, and then you are limited, probably bc it doesn't make sense to make 20 oz of coffee with a pod) Open/close manual feature. If you are waiting for the pot to fill and need to sneak a cup, I really like that there is a slide knob to manually move from right to left, AND it shows you on the display panel if it is open or closed. Built in coffee scoop. I can never find mine for some reason. The fact that this one has a storage spot on the machine makes my mornings super easy. Frother. It doesn't heat your milk, but it is fun to use. It is attached to the machine, and pulls in and out for easy use. It lies flush when stored. The frother part is easy to remove for easy cleaning. A really fun bonus. Sometimes I froth my creamer before adding it, cold even, and it's just a little different treat. The control panel is intuitive and easy to use to select your favorite options. It didn't take a lot of thought to make an assortment of coffee styles. I love that. Cleaning feature for descaling. Personally, I prefer having this option than not. You can use vinegar or coffee descaler. Cup platform. Also attached to the machine, and flips up and out of the way when not in use. Perfection. Smart hot plate. The user manual says this isn't available on all models, but it is included on mine. (Possibly not on the models with thermal carafe?) This it's my second newest favorite feature. Small size cups of coffee do not turn on the hot plate, but half carafe or larger does (you also have the option of manually turning the hot plate on to keep a cup of coffee warm). So, I can use any travel mug with this machine and make almost limitless sizes that I want. The machine tells you how many ounces and the quick start guide tells you how many of their scoops to use, from individual cups all the way to a full carafe. *****There is little-to-no thinking involved******. Which leads to my next favorite feature. The footprint is fairly small, given all the features. The Ninja machine at work is set up for daily pod use. My machine at home is set up for grounds in a filter. Changing back and forth isn't that hard, but being able to use the machine the way I want to without changing it, is absolute perfection. Granted, I am the only person at my home using this machine, but adding the pod adapter isn't hard at all. The Ninja pod adapter is the only thing you have to change to use a pod. The top cover slides back, and you drop in the adapter and slide it forward to lock it in. To go back to filter, you push the adapter backward to unlock the adapter, pop it out, put the permanent filter back in, and slide the cover forward. That's it. Cons I had a little struggle at set up with both office and home machines understanding how the cover and adapter worked together and getting them to operate smoothly. This was totally fixable by a thorough reading of the instructions, but once I got it, I got it, and I feel silly that it took me a minute. Maybe bc the feature is totally different than any other coffee maker. The user manual says that reusable pod filters are not compatible. However, it is easy to use the permanent filter, even for small cups of coffee, that this shouldn't be a deal breaker. SUMMARY The build is solid, intuitive, and multifunctional with very little thought required. Easily adaptable and useful for multiple types of hot beverage drinkers. I am so happy with my Ninja coffee maker. It just makes my mornings go smoother on my way out the door, or enjoying a specialty coffee on the weekends. You really can't go wrong here. Highly recommend 👌!!

  • GROSS! This was filthy! This clearly should be in the TRASH! I'm grossly disappointed to have received a French Press that should be in the trash. It was disgusting so obviously I didn't keep it and returned it. OMG

OK, so I purchased this in a wave of sheer excitement at the prospect of easy cold brew at home!! I read others reviews, tips, and tricks. After a bit of a struggle with the lid I figured it out. Made sure to clean the rim of all grounds before plunging, then no grounds in coffee. Read the instructions and follow completely and you will have a great cup of cold brew!!

I absolutely LOVE this brewer! My coffee is amazing! My son comes over & I make him some & he can not believe how delicious & fast this brewer makes our iced coffee. Best money ever spent!

The size of this = 5 stars, but the freaking handle makes it a 4 star. This is nearly double the size of the French press that we had, and we also had friends staying over and we found ourselves brewing two pots just to get through breakfast as we are all coffee lovers. So, I found this one, which is one of the few that are this large on the interwebs. We love the quality of coffee that comes from a French press, and the ease of making it with an electric kettle. Now, the reason that I think this deserves a 4 instead of a 5 is the handle. Do you see that little, tiny, round knob on the handle that you press down to strain the grounds? That thing is SMALL AND DIGS INTO YOU HAND LIKE NO TOMORROW. It sucks. It literally hurts so bad every time I have to press coffee lol I have to call my man in who has hands like sandpaper and he doesn't mind using it, but even then I can see him have a difficult time because the mesh inside will kind of wobble back and forth instead of going straight down, so there is a little bit of resistance with it. We use this thing quite a lot, but in all honesty I think there are some easy fixes that would make it FANTASTIC. And they need to fix those issues for their customers.
