I like the idea of being able to brew a pot or a cup from drip. The coffee maker is temperamental. It will sometimes brew only 6 cups when the switch is on "full pot". Also the clock numbers are starting to burn out. It's only 8 months old.
I've never in my life opened up a dry box, then plastic wrapping, to find the product inside wet. Not just the outside, but inside compartments were wet too. Then I find an actual hair in the water holder! Gross!!!! I bought this as new but am definitely holding on to the box. I don't trust this at all.
I love the Cuisinart brand! This is a very high-quality piece during the week. I typically make one to 2 cups of coffee for myself and use the pod. On the weekend, I have company and use the pot. I’ve brewed both ground coffee and I’ve used the grinder with whole beans. Both work seamlessly. It’s easy to clean and easy to use. The mess is nonexistent because of the drip tray on the pod. It bruised the coffee fairly quickly either way and is quiet. I would buy this again or give it as a gift if someone needed a new coffee maker. A+ in my book.
Great purchase! Nice and shiny “coffee-ware” to show up, not only because of the very easy and elegant brewing process, but also the superb taste you will get at every coffee cup. I brought mine to my office and it quickly became the star of the coffee break! Update 22-Oct-22: my coffee Gator keeps delivering brilliant coffee. Still my preferred method to serve 4 great cups of coffee!
This coffee maker is supposed to have two neat tricks, and it fails at both. The party piece here is that the coffee maker has a built-in grinder, so your beans are ground just before your coffee is made. The ideal scenario is that you set it all up on the built-in timer, and when you get up in the morning you have fresh-ground, fresh-brewed coffee waiting for you. The problem is that this coffee maker tends to poop itself with frustrating regularity (see photo.) Despite daily cleaning, this mess happens at least once a week, meaning that one should not leave the coffee maker running unattended. Scratch scenario one of having fresh-ground, fresh-brewed coffee when you wake up. The other neat trick is that this coffee maker can make anything from one cup to one pot of coffee, and technically this does work just fine. The problem is the aforementioned cleaning regimen. Keeping this thing clean is a lot more work than any other coffee maker I've owned, and one quickly realizes that it's not worth the work for one cup, and so you just end up making full pots of coffee every time. The most frequent cleaning need is the bottom of the grinder, in behind the filter holder. Unfortunately, the knob to open this is inside the bean hopper, so unless the hopper is mostly empty you will need to dig through the beans to get to it. There's also a weird dependency wherein you have to hit the menu button to turn on the machine, open the filter, close the filter and then open the filter again before the knob will open the bottom of the grinder. What's that about? The idea of this coffee maker is really cool. The reality just doesn't live up to expectations. Don't waste your money on this one. UPDATE: There is one pretty good thing about this unit that I forgot to mention... The carafe does keep the coffee nice and hot for three hours or more.
Bought this over the summer and within 4 months it no longer works. I have better performance from cheap coffee makers at a fraction of the cost. Additional cons, there is no way to clean the reservoir and there are metal tabs in the reservoir that have already rusted.
The most ideal French press, very easy to use and clean in dishwasher. Hot inside and cold outside.
Switch from an electric coffee maker to the pour over coffee maker, and the flavor from this coffee is so much better and I dont have to worry about a dirty coffee maker and whats growing in it. This is easy to clean, and durable. I Love it.
The manual is not clear. The starting of brewing the cup is not clear. It takes making 3 cups to figure it out. The product leaked in the bottom See pictures
Mr. Coffee arrived right on time. My previous Mr. Coffee, which lasted nearly 30 years quit working and I wanted to stick with the same brand. This model makes 12 cups and offers the pause feature if you’re in a hurry for that first cup.
It worked fine for about 6 months, but last week, when I was making coffee normally, it just exploded, made a huge mess in my kitchen and when I checked it, the lid lock (it's plastic) broke and the machine was damaged. absolutely useless. I hope coffeemakers.us.com or the machine manufacturer responds to me. I will inform you when there is an update.
Este producto lo tengo desde hace un 1 año y no tengo quejas de ella en mi casa nos gusta el cafe fuerte este es la ideal , el material duradero , el color intacto super recomendado
Love it. This is my second Keurig
I really do like this coffee maker - I had a single cup pour-over before and this one makes it much easier to brew two cups for myself or me and my boyfriend. Love that I don't have to buy/waste paper filters, too. My only two complaints: 1. I got this model because the page and the website says their coffee makers are dishwasher safe, but actually it's only the filter that's dishwasher safe, not the base. Hand washing isn't a big deal, but if you're looking for an option that's fully dishwasher safe, this model isn't for you. Also note that when you hand wash it, water gets trapped between the glass and the foam/rubber-like bottom. That said, I do I like the rubberized bottom as it creates friction on my countertop and prevents it from slipping or moving. Second complaint: The first time I ran the metal filter through the dishwasher (which the instructions say explicitly to do) the plastic tab for the edge of the holder came off. It technically slides back on, but it won't stay on. Not the end of the world since the filter doesn't get that hot, but just sort of lame that it fell apart. Overall I'd say get this if you don't mind hand washing, I'm just a brat about being lazy & wanting to put everything in the dishwasher!
I bought this machine 2 months ago and have really loved it. Makes wonderful coffee. Here's the problem and reason I didn't give 5 stars: the top of the cup has little holes that allow liquid to get inside but no way to clean it. It is forming mold after just 2 months and a replacement cup is $25 on coffeemakers.us.com. The cost of the machine!!! Disappointed with the cup design. Not practical for keeping it clean.
