Good value for the $$. I've used it three times and no complaints other than I received it with a couple rust marks (probably from soldering it) and a couple scratches on it. But not a deal breaker. I like this size so I can make cold brew too. Exactly what I wanted.
I really love this Instant brand k cup coffee maker. I think the coffee tastes better for some reason. It is slightly slower to brew than a Keurig but it’s not a big deal. I did get this on a lightening deal. So I got it for a great price. It’s super small and compact and fits my area nicely I also got the k cup holder on coffeemakers.us.com as well. It’s such a cute little set up. Get this coffee maker you won’t regret it
I really enjoyed the coffe pot while camping. It took from 15-20 minutes to brew the coffee. I used the same propane cylinder for the four mornings we were camping. The coffee maker gets hot, we set it on some scrap wood to keep it from direct contact with the table.
This is the Happiest color " Keurig I have owned--- LOVE IT! It just looks fabulous in my kitchen :)
This is our 2nd Mr. Coffee ice coffee maker. The 1st lasted 1 month. The 2nd, 2 drinks. No more Mr. Coffee brand anything. It’s easy to use but obviously has some issues. Power button just stops powering. No help on the website. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.
See for yourself.
Whenever I use a Braun product, I feel like Dieter Rams himself is personally performing the task that the machine was designed for. That's why using this coffee maker is so disappointing. The coffee it makes is consistent and flavorful when the brewer operates but all the actions you perform to start the process are afterthoughts to the aesthetics of the machine. Some specifics: 1. The space to pour the water into is miniscule; you're groggy, the kitchen is probably dim, now you have to hit a target that's 3.5 square inches. 2. Before you even pour the water in, you have to lift the lid. The designers detailed these tiny little indents on either side of the machine to "allow" you to lift the lid. The problem is that the tolerance in the construction in the hinge makes the lid shift to the side the exact amount of the indent so it's impossible to lift the lid without two hands or friction on the slender lid alone. 3. Talking about lids, I make coffee every day and remove the carafe lid every single day to wash it. The part that engages it with the carafe is complicated, unintuitive and fragile. I will break it, it's just a matter of time. The need to have some kind of haptic response that it's snapped and locked into place makes this an unnecessarily overdesigned part. 4. Finally, who at this price range makes a v'amp'ire appliance anymore. The inability to turn the clock off (it's color is different from all of my other appliances) - or even the whole device off if you don't use the Auto On - seems quaint at this point. With all the other electronic features of this device, I wonder why you can't really turn it off without unplugging it. In all, I think I wasted my money. I realize these seem like trivial and insignificant issues but that's why I choose Braun over other appliances. I can get almost identical results for almost half the price. With this coffee maker, you're paying for a name and an aesthetic and that should be what disappoints Dieter the most. **Update: Reducing to two stars. Since I wrote this review, the clock has actually gotten slower. I didn’t include it in the original review but it’s literally SIX minutes slow and continually getting worse. How did Braun get this so wrong?
Save your money If you're purchasing this because it has a fancy frother. For the first few weeks everything works great, good reliable brewing of your k-cups as usual and nice cappuccino or latte with your frothed milk. Unfortunately the latter won't last long as the Frother will just stop working after a month, just at the perfect time to make it too late for you to return it to coffeemakers.us.com. And then you won't have a pleasant time dealing with Keurig customer service as they'll just be of no help. Its been 2 weeks since I've called customer service and still have yet to hear from them again after giving them everything they asked for(proof of purchase, serial number, etc.) I will never be purchasing another product from Keurig again after this unpleasant experience. UPDATE: Keurig customer service reached out to me and sent me a brand new machine. Their Customer Service is actually better than I originally thought. At least you can have that peace of mind.
Opened the box upon it being delivered and I found it in this condition. NOT happy and am returning it.
Honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made in a LONG time. So easy use and works wonders.
Quick and easy config, light weight and good looking
I ordered this Nov. 2020 and last week the bubble knob on top started discoloring. Today it fell off as it is broken. Westbend does not have replacement parts for it. I now see it was made in China - shame on me for not reading more carefully. SHAME ON WESTBEND for not having replacement parts. My original Review titled: Percolator coffee tastes better, right? I wanted to see. I think it does. I tried grinding for coarseness as recommended but too much work. Hard to find course grind. So, I got filters and use regular grind. It's a bit more trouble to clean than a Mr. Coffee or similar but the coffee is rich and hot. I got this one because it had the tube with a little red ball to show water level but it is slow to react and I jiggle it a little to get the red ball moving. I make the 6 cup amount and my guess is if you make more the red ball would work ok. The biggest surprise was that none of the reviews mentioned how loud it is when it perks. Some days louder than others. I wonder why The? The perking smells good and it is fast. I love the perked coffee. Using the filter means there are almost no grounds in the pot when emptied. A percolator is a bit of a throw-back but it, like many old things, is better. I should know, I too am old!
I use this thing every morning, and it does not disappoint. The design for these pour over "drippers" is simple, and you get great results every time. I like to use medium-sized grounds, pour a little water in and let the grounds bloom, then pour about half of the water over the grounds in a spiral pattern and let it drain, then repeat with the rest of the water. Perfect coffee every time!
We have used Bunn for years and love them however, this model has a major flaw. The warmer button, which is located in the bottom right corner displays a very weak "blue" light when in the on position which is barely visible in daylight hours. Within a month of using the coffee maker, the light went out completely and as a result, we have either absent mindedly left it on when the coffeemaker was not in use or brushed up against it while wiping the counters down. This is a HUGE fire hazard because the glass pot gets VERY HOT and has burned our fingers when we grabbed it. We also have a towel nearby that I worry will catch on fire. I have written BUNN without response and as a precaution, I will probably just throw this maker away. Our other makers had a very bright RED light that showed when the warmer was on AND it was located on top so there was no way of accidentally flipping the switch on while wiping the counters down (this has happened several times). While I love BUNN's, this particular model is seriously flawed and unsafe! DO NOT buy it!
